Qimonda to Build R&D Center in Suzhou, China

Munich-based memory chip maker Qimonda recently announced that it plans to build an R&D center at its existing plant in Suzhou Industrial Park. With an investment of approximately US$20 million, Qimonda's Suzhou R&D center is slated for inauguration as of October 1, 2007. It is expected that, within five years, about 200 engineers will be recruited for this R&D center, which will cover operations ranging from product specification development, circuit design, to application testing.
